This is the dream project of our co-director Donna Roberts, a long-time lover of all things Brazilian; she also conducted field research there among women environmentalists, to help give their work and stories an international voice.
Donna is partnering with friends and colleagues in Bahia, the most African of Brazilian regions and truly considered the heart of the country, to create a magnificent week-long socio-cultural experience.
“Connect to Care in the Heart of Brazil” will bring travelers to the thriving coastal capital of Salvador, Bahia, for two nights, then to a century-old countryside estate for 5 days and nights of all-inclusive typical Bahian hospitality, including meditation, yoga, cultural and nature excursions – focusing largely on
matriarchal spirituality and Earth-centered livelihoods – with each day beginning and ending in sacred circle.
You’ll even be treated to a samba class taught by a celebrated elder sambadeira!
A key component is connecting with those from another culture, with opportunities to give back on a one-time or ongoing basis, if desired.
