Circle Connections is you and me, extraordinary ordinary women. Circle Connections has a knowing that we are all connected. Circle Connections honors and trusts the sacred geometry of Circle that holds us in the presence of one another, respecting diversity while holding a common intention on this journey of discovery.

As a composite of all the women of Circle Connections, Ann Smith holds the thread for our global consciousness and international relationships. Donna Roberts holds the thread for ecological awareness and our relationship with Mother Earth. I hold the thread for the creation of a strong foundation of authenticity and personal excellence and our relationship with Spirit. We attempt to act as a voice for each of you. Together we represent a colorful weave that addresses, gives permission to, and inspires all our dreams.

Each one of us have our own strengths, insights, talents, and dreams. Together we represent a oneness, an amazing composite of evolving women attempting to make sense of life. Holding  hands and daring to reveal our authenticity even if it is a messy process, we stretch to expand our highest and best way of offering a contribution to creating a new Earth.

The past few weeks have been turbulent, inner and outer, for so many. There have been inner emotional changes. I experiences this with the birth of my first grand daughter. It has caused me to pause and wonder what her future holds and question the evolution of evolution. Have we moved forward and affected real change? Has my commitment as an advocate for women and children truly been a contribution?

There have been outer physical upsets (CLICK HERE to see amazing pictures of Hurricane Ike), causing us to wonder the random outcomes and testing our compassion and resilience.

Their have been transitions and challenges offered by politics (CLICK HERE to view the opening political spoof on Saturday Night Live), the economic situation, and the bizarre forces of nature.

The outer reflects the inner where we face the turmoil of wondering who we are, where we are called, how any of it makes sense, and if we are capable to respond rather than react moment by moment. Yes, it appears life is messy, and yet in the field beyond ‘messy’ we have a sense that peace, order, harmony, and a bigger picture beyond our understanding is possible.

Is it? Is their really grace beyond the chaos?

Jeanie Brosius, a friend of mine, and author of Giving From an Empty Well, pointed me to a valuable and interesting resource called the Mandelbrot Set of Numbers I wanted to share. She wrote the following in her newsletter:

“The book, Chaos, by James Gleick, shows the underlying pattern of perfection in all chaotic phenomena, including weather, waterfalls, boiling water and even in our own lives. This perfect pattern is expressed as a Mandelbrot Set of numbers that, when put on paper, show up as circular images. This clearly points to an underlying principle of wholeness in what seems to random.”

Faith in peace beyond the avalanche of chaos perhaps is not easy, but called for if we are to see the wholeness and connection amidst what seems random.

Another important principle of prosperity and conscious evolution reminds us that what we focus on, expands. Although it is tempting to bemoan the string of tragedies and happenings that are so overwhelmingly evident and complain about the chaos brought by these unimaginable circumstances, we must shift our gaze to all that is working and focus there. Holding our attention on the destruction and chaos, remaining in anger or wallowing in despair will only embellish and call forward more of the same. Instead we must be courageous, dare to recognize the opportunity to become stronger, and seize it.

Durable happiness is possible as we expand our ability see the small miracles that emerge, more powerful and enlightened as a result of the chaos. Sustainable joy comes as we focus our attention on the emergent opportunities for clearing old ways of thinking. They call us forth and make way for deepened connections.

Let’s take a huge cleansing breath together. Let us recommit to lean together in the direction of all we are passionate about and hopeful for rather than fighting against what we do not want distracted by fear. Let us embrace tgether the grand possibilities that are strengthened by and through our inspired connections.
