Join us as we come together
in virtual circle conversations and
in-person circle gatherings!

Circle Connections mission is to bring the gift of women’s sacred circles and Circle Leadership worldwide, caring for ourselves, one another and Mother Earth.  We are blessed to be able to present for the first time our Circle Leadership: All are Leaders workshop at the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women meeting, February 27th at the UN Church Center, NYC, 4.30 to 6.00 PM.  It is in a sacred circle setting that women who have not seen themselves as leaders realize that they have the leadership qualities needed for today.  In this workshop and many other circle events that we will host, women will identify leadership qualities needed for today’s changing world and claim those that fit for them.  We will match our passions to actions co-creating Action Circle that make a positive difference in their families, communities and the world.

Women have long known how to spread the word and we believe that our ground-breaking Circle gatherings and trainings will be Circle experiences worth sharing. So, please help us spread the word. Join us to honor each other, our purpose and our missions, to activate our collective potential as women in making a difference for the greater good.

Circle Connections will help you design and facilitate a Women’s Sacred Circle gathering and host a Circle Leadership program in your area.  Never before in the history of our world has women’s leadership, Circle Leadership, been more needed than now.  We know that having taken our program you will be empowered to make a difference and find greater sense of fulfillment and happiness.

Circle Connections will host Circle Leadership: All are Leaders workshop, February 26th, as well as co-host Women’s Sacred Circle, February 29th.  The United Nations 56th Session of the Commission on the Status of Women in New York City hosts parallel events that are open to the public.  A consortium of UN NGOs (non-governmental organizations) offer circle-related workshops, panels and sacred circle gathering.  Please see the calendar of our events   for the complete listing.  These are open to the public.

March 8th, International Women’s Day Celebration will be held at Happehatchee Center in Estero, Florida, 7-9PM.   Circle Connections will host this circle gathering where stories from the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women events will be told as well as stories about improving the status of Guatemalan women in their country and in Southwest Florida.  There will be music, singing, drumming and dancing.  All are welcome.  RSVP to Ann Smith, info@circleconnections.com

The Power and Significance of Circles
Monday, October 3rd, 2011

Although we all are experiencing accelerated change, we need not travel alone. Through the power of the circle process and the empowerment that comes when women connect on common ground, the whole becomes greater and stronger than the sum of the parts. Collective wisdom emerges that guides us on a journey of expanded connection and collaboration toward peace and sustainability as spiritual activists dedicated to making a difference and thrive.

Jean Shinoda Bolen, M.D., Jungian analyst, activist, and ‘messenger carrier’, shared her poignant insights about the significance of Circles, the Power of Connections, and the ‘new’ path ahead. She also shared her passion about the importance of the The Millionth Circle and the United Nations 5th World Conference on Women, 5WWC. Jean’s comments primed us for a Circle Conversation that will include Ann Smith, Rhonda Hull and Caroline Ravelo. This Circle Conversation was followed by breaking participants into Mini-Circles that offered time to reflect and share, then ending the TeleCircle as on large Circle, gathering the wisdom and encouraging action steps for the greater good.

What Does It Mean to Lead?
Wednesday, October 5th, 2011

‘Power-over’ leadership of command, control and the ranking of diversity is the ‘Old Story.’  Collaborative shared leadership is where diversity is appreciated and all who participate are leaders and learners in the ‘New Story.’ Together we release the ‘old’ and fully embrace our contribution to the ‘New Leadership.’

According to Jean Houston, “It doesn’t matter if you’ve gotten stuck… if you feel alone in your desire to make a difference… if every force in the universe seems to be acting against you… or if truly living a life of meaning and purpose is just “unrealistic.” Jean is an American scholar, lecturer, author, philosopher and pioneer of the human potential movement. She joined us to share her insights and to spark our enthusiasm about how best to access our personal confidence and clarity. She shared her perspective on why Feminine Principles of Leadership are so necessary now for living into the ‘New Story’. Jean’s comments guided us into a Circle Conversation that included Ann Smith, Rhonda Hull and Caroline Ravelo to further the conversation about why the contribution of women is so essential during this tremendous time of shift and we explored where, how and why we are being called to lead. This Circle Conversation was followed by breaking participants into Mini-Circles with time to reflect and share, then ending the TeleCircle as on large Circle, gathering the wisdom and encouraging action steps for the greater good.

Now at this crucial time it is essential that women connect, collaborate and apply their wisdom to make a meaningful difference. Nothing happens until we take the first step, and yet far too often we let fear or isolation hold us back. Now is the time to step into the ‘New Story’ together.

This TeleCircle is for women who are tired of feeling discouraged and disconnected and ready to connect and collaborate with other amazing women (who want to be) involved in Circle work to distill the collective wisdom, legitimize Circle, make it sustainable, and mobilize it for the greater good.
