There are many ways through which we can come to more fully know ourselves and be the empowered woman we were destined to be. It is always helpful to have help, tools and friends to hold your kite string along the way.
Yesterday our dear Carol Hansen Grey visited us again on our Circle Connections BlogTalk Radio Show and shared some wonderful and practical tools for self-empowerment. It is well worth the 30 minutes to take a listen:

Dear Friends,
The evolutionary imperative continues. We are approaching the second of three powerful eclipses in a row. The first occurred on July 7 at 15º Cancer-Capricorn, the second forms on July 21 at 29º Cancer, and the third forms on August 5 at 14º Leo-Aquarius. These alignments offer extraordinary tailwinds for transformation, for each one of us, and for humanity as a whole. We are expanding our range of possibilities — of what it means to be a woman, a man, a being on planet Earth.
The Solar Eclipse/New Moon at 29º Cancer (which peaks on July 21 at 7:35 PM PDT/July 22 at 2:35 AM GMT) is the second New Moon in Cancer this year; the first occurred on June 22 at 1º Cancer. Two New Moons in the same sign emphasize the emergence of something new; a Solar Eclipse, even more so. Since this New Moon is both a total eclipse and a SuperMoon (where the Moon is at perigee, its closest approach to the Earth, and also at syzygy, in line with both the Earth and the Sun), it heralds a collective readiness for a new synthesis between masculine and feminine. This includes and transcends age-old gender/patriarchal issues, for each one of us has a masculine (or active) side and a feminine (or receptive) side. The Sun represents our archetypal yang impulse—to shine, radiate, express our unique spark of the Divine. The Moon symbolizes our yin impulse—what we need to receive, what is necessary to protect and support life, for both ourselves and others. What kind of light do you radiate? What do you need in order to shine brighter?
Cancer is the sign most concerned with the feminine aspect of creation–that which nurtures and sustains life. July 22 is celebrated around the world as Mary Magdelene’s Feast Day. Representing the Divine Feminine, Mary Magdelene has been both honored as “the Apostle of Apostles”, and maligned as a whore. Her vilification by Pope Gregory in 1591 as a prostitute was not officially retracted by the Vatican until 1969. This total Solar Eclipse/SuperMoon, occurring as millions around the world celebrate a feminine spiritual figure, generates a powerful forcefield for shifting our relationship with the feminine, mother/matter, and Mother Nature/ Earth.
The last New Moon was opposed by Pluto; the July 21 New Moon/Eclipse is quincunx Pluto. While a quincunx (150°) is not as confrontational as an opposition (180°), it still mandates a shift in perception and direction. As the archetype of death and rebirth, Pluto marks the threshold to a new paradigm of reality. Venus, another feminine archetype, closely squares Saturn (exact at 18°20′ Gemini–Virgo only six and a half hours before the eclipse), extending the cosmic invitation to redefine our values, priorities, and experience of the feminine.
Within twelve hours of this eclipse, Jupiter at 25° Aquarius makes its second of three exact conjunctions this year with Chiron; this further accents the potential to initiate big changes and resolve longstanding issues. (The first Jupiter–Chiron conjunction was on May 23 at 26°; the third will occur on December 7 at 22° Aquarius.) Aquarius is the sign of community, collaboration, and invention. Jupiter’s conjunction with Chiron reminds us that: Anything can heal, that we are all in this together, and that together, we can create Heaven on Earth.
Use the power of this eclipse to take the next big step on your path. Do what strengthens your connection with your higher Self. Eliminate drains and distractions. Get extra rest. We are being rewired and attuned to higher dimensional frequencies. Spend extra time in Nature. Listen to your body. Trust your intuition. Follow your heart. When stressed–stop, breath, slow down. Remember: “It is an ironic habit of human beings to run faster when we have lost our way.”–Rollo May
