The winds of change are gently blowing, bringing back for me the spirit of the 60s with the maturity of today led by President Elect, Barack Obama, a transformational leader.  Four years earlier, at the Democratic convention, he said:  “For alongside our famous individualism, there’s another ingredient in the American saga: a belief that we are connected as one people.”

His campaign included millions and millions of people, I being one. We registered voters, knocked on doors, made phone calls, had strategy meetings, wrote letters and were constantly encouraged to help.  At his acceptance speech Tuesday night he stayed consistent with this theme of “us” by declaring; “In this country, we rise or fall as one nation, as one people”.
