In working with so many women who are committed to making a difference and to showing up fully in this messy evolutionary journey that we are on together I have often heard my own reflections mirrored back. I am in the good company of those reaching for the new.
We sometimes feel as if we walk on the edge between two worlds - the world we were told and grew up with as ‘real’ and the one born of the paradigm shift gestating in us. We are the ones who feel the pulse of knowing that resonates within us on an inner level. We vibrate a sense of connection called to be woven with the power of the feminine touch. We know it is an essential part of the weave — and rather than feeling centered unshakably in what we know, we often feel off balance and ill at ease in both worlds.
We want more than anything to be able to pull together the seemingly contradictory information that we hold and to heal the limiting beliefs of the past so that we can be instrumental in bridging the gap, feeling integrated and empowered as we set the tone for our future.
For those of us on a spiritual path of conscious choice and activism unique to our talents, we vision the transformation of our three-dimensional world view that was shaped by a hierarchal model, to be replaced by a more expanded, collaborative and egalitarian perspective contained by the Circle process. Acting as pioneering bridge-women while necessary, is often disquieting and makes us weary. Although there are many wonderful sisters, the path through a paradigm shift is often accompanied by its share of incongruent people, mental challenge, and the angst of ‘one step forward and two steps back’. This can cause feelings of doubt to bubble up as we lean in the direction of our calling while facing the energy of radically opposing views.
This unbalanced experience on the journey of change can generate exhaustion and unsettledness within us if we are not mindful. One minute we want to follow our passion and contribute our time, and the next we want to hide out, speak to no one, or find a job ‘flipping burgers’. We might make a commitment to meditate or journal everyday, but soon glance at our watch, impatient to cut or time of self-renewal short so that we can get some ‘real” work done.
Keys for calming the scattered energy that fuels such discomfort is the realization that first, we always have a choice about which aspect of ourselves we are identified with at any particular time. We can either focus on what holds us back, reacting as a victim, or stay steadfastly focused on what is possible and all that is working.
Second, we must stand close together so no one wavers and falls. We can draw strength by connecting and fostering relationships with trusted souls who can hold our kite string as we dance and dive, and who will remind us of our authentic self when we wander from our true core.
Unconditionally loving ourself and our willingness to receive the love and encouragement of others is what feeds and nurtures us in this time of amazing alchemy.
Greater peace is ours when we accept that we are simultaneously human beings having spiritual experiences and spiritual beings having a human experience. We become free at the moment we can still our ego’s attachment to outcome, embrace what is, and accept that it is possible to hold seemingly paradoxical views with grace.
The power and possibilities of experiencing this shift with ease come through the quality of our thoughts, the compassion within our way of being with one another, and the loving intention within our ‘doing-ness’. From this sturdy foundation we can take one step further, daring to take “inspired action” necessary for change that becomes the pirouette of the dance that keeps our energy in alignment with our dreams.
It was Wayne Dyer who said that God offers you your family of choice as His way of apologizing for the challenging members of your biological family. That is true of your global family, as well. Our trusted Circle of Connections eases stumbling blocks of the evolutionary journey along our path.
Carolyn Myss explains that we evolve at a rate consistent with the group that we are ‘plugged into.’ For those seeking to foster conscious change and accelerate their evolution, a conscious decision to circle and connect with others who are walking this same path and stubbornly committed to wise intentions and conscious change empowered by love means the difference between struggle and joy.
This is why we called together Circle Connections, and are most grateful that you have chosen to be a part of the incredible circle of women coming together in authentic connection to shine while holding hands with one another as together we create a new earth.
