About Circles

Women have come together in Circle in one way or another for ages, regardless of our cultural or religious influences. Gathering, tending and befriending is a part of our cellular memory and, regardless of form and against all odds, circling has remained alive and the process passed down from generation to generation.

Whether around a Well, around a sacred altar, at the park while watching our children play, or while in check-out line at the grocery store, women have connected to offer one another support, healing, activism, and insights for the greater good. One step after another we answer the call, disregarding obstacles, learning together how to make a difference and thrive.

Women are weary because we have been pressured for many years to live under and survive within the ‘Old Story’ – a predominantly ‘top-down’ ‘power-over’ model of structures and leadership that neglects and attempts t control the power of women. The value of the ‘power-with’ model innate to women has been ignored and repressed and the broken ‘top-down’ model that is still the structure found in most schools, organizations, corporations, businesses and in traditional families.

Time accelerates and challenges grow. More and more women are responding to the call for women’s gifts if we are to shift in a positive direction. Women are responding to the inner call to connect and collaborate in order to make a difference and thrive.

Rather than depend solely on experts to guide the way, women are turning to one another in Circle knowing that here will be revealed guidance, action steps and solutions. Circles invite a deep inquiry. Circle is a place of inclusion rather than competition. Women living by Circle principles trust wisdom will emerge in this safe setting and the process will lead the way. Circle honors each voice and evokes compassion not only for one another, but Mother Earth.

Circle Connections is a Circle hub focused on fostering connection and collaboration for the greater good. We welcome and encourage to become a part of the Circle Connections Community where through connection and collaboration, our potential to make a difference is expanded and our ability to thrive is made possible through loving and supportive relationships and education.
